Thermal Core Packs deliver moist heat to relax sore muscles prior to professional treatment. The Standard Thermal Core can be used on the back neck and extremities to help relieve pain from arthritis bursit's backaches sprains and strains muscle soreness and headaches. Moist heat is more effective at providing deep penetrating heat to tissue than conventional heat packs. To ensure patient safety Thermal Core Packs should be placed in protective cover prior to use. Thermal Core Pack Covers are available in sizes to complement the Thermal Core Packs. This allows professionals to vary the heat intensity by adding or removing layers of insulation. Instructions for Use: Thermal Core Packs should be heated in 160°F (71°C) water for at least 20 minutes prior to application. Thermal Core Packs should remain in heater or water bath after initial use as the fill material in the packs may distort if previously conditioned packs are allowed to dry completely. Cleaning your heater without chemicals is most beneficial to pack life. Tanks should be drained and wiped down with cloth and fresh water. No cleaners! Chemical agents leave residue that will cause premature disintegration of the pack. For infrequent use conditioned Thermal Core Packs can be stored in the freezer.
